How FACTION’s site strategy achieved corporate objectives plus created location savings for a new 32000m² support centre

FACTION was engaged by Australia Post as lead negotiator and advisor on their new support centre requirement, along with technical due diligence on site selection, probity and governance advisor, and also as PM for the agreement for lease and workplace design and delivery.
Early in our engagement, our advice recommended Australia Post consider a non-CBD location against multi-agency advice but in line with their corporate goals of greater community connection. We identified a transit-oriented brownfield regeneration site at Burnley Station, and the design will be the first commercial office designed with COVID-19 resilience measures, including contactless building services.
The advice on location and the efficient delivery of this project has achieved substantial savings for our client Australia Post.
The 32,000m² building is on track for occupation by Australia Post in 2024.
